Personal: 30, of Pittsford, married with a son, William, 2.
Occupation: Owner of New Leaf Spa, naturopathic esthetician.
Community activities: Raising awareness in Rochester about organic skin care, providing education to the community that the impact of our everyday choices of personal care products have a significant impact on the environment and our personal health.
My favorite thing to do in Rochester: Walking on the canal with my son, especially during the warmer months.
Biggest challenge I’ve overcome and how I did it: Introducing an organic day spa that offers non-toxic services was a new concept in this area. I overcame this challenge simply by allowing my clientele to see the results that can be achieved with organic skin care, and how healthy their skin was after treatments at New Leaf.
One thing I’ve always wanted to do but never have: Go on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica.
If I could change one thing about myself it would be: I am a true believer in self-acceptance, so nothing.
The talent I would most like to have: I’d love to have learned to play the piano.
The one thing I can’t live without: My daily skin care regime.
My favorite movie: The Red Violin.
One of my favorite sayings is: “It was meant to be.” I find myself saying it all the time.
A person who has inspired me (and why): My mother is my greatest inspiration. She is an amazing women, who was able to succeed in her career, while being a great mother to her five children.
