Personal: 39, of Pittsford, mother to two children, ages 4 and 5.
Occupation: World Wide Marketing Manager for the Retail Systems Solutions division of Eastman Kodak Co.
My favorite thing to do in Rochester: I love to take the kids to the park. We have so many beautiful parks here in Rochester.
Biggest challenge I’ve overcome and how I did it: I learned to stop worrying about the things I have no control over. It has taken years to learn that my energy is best used for the areas and events that I can impact. I still challenge myself to do this every day.
One thing I’ve always wanted to do but never have: Run my own business. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and someday I want to just run with it!
If I could change one thing about myself it would be: Not having to plan everything in my life. Some say it’s a good thing, but I would like to have a little more balance and just be spontaneous. When I have gone without a plan, it’s been wonderful.
The talent I would most like to have: Play the piano. I have always admired people who have this talent. It’s on my bucket list, along with about 20 other things…
The one thing I can’t live without: My kids … and my BlackBerry.
My favorite movie: Avatar.
One of my favorite sayings is: Fear of failure … renders you immobile.
A person who has inspired me (and why): My mother. I was raised by a mother who worked full-time and traveled for business. She taught me how important it is to have life accomplishments and goals to work toward. It made her a great mom and a hard worker, both of which I respect more every day.
