Kelly Wolford

Personal: 39, of Webster; married with three children, ages 7, 6 and 3.

Occupation: Monroe County Court Judge

Community activities: Raising my three kids! And, United Way Women’s Leadership Council, former Legislative Secretary for the District Attorneys Association for the State of New York, and Brownies Troop 22 Cookie Mom.
My favorite thing to do in Rochester: Sit by a fire in my backyard with my husband and children.

Biggest challenge I’ve overcome and how I did it: Balancing a demanding professional career and raising a family. However, I am not sure it is possible to “overcome” this challenge, only to learn how to achieve a balance so that neither your career nor your family suffer.

One thing I’ve always wanted to do but never have: Travel to Russia and Eastern Europe.

If I could change one thing about myself it would be: I would be better at staying in touch with friends from long ago.

The talent I would most like to have: Time travel — so I could actually be in two places at once!

The one thing I can’t live without: My family.

My favorite movie: Independence Day.

One of my favorite sayings is: You can do anything you set your mind to.

A person who has inspired me (and why): My mother. She has always been true to herself and what she believes in. And, she always taught me to respect others and to respect myself.
