Iveth Reynolds

Personal: 41 of Penfield, married with two children.

Occupation: CEO of Tri-Mar Consulting.

Community activities: President, National Society of Hispanic MBAs New York Chapter; steering committee member, United Way’s Latino Leadership Program; board member, LDA of Genesse Valley.

My favorite thing to do in Rochester: Breakfast and shopping at the Public Market are on the top of list. It reminds me of growing up in New York City and Saturday mornings at “La Marketa” on the upper west side or in the Bronx. There used to be a market below the track next to Yankee Stadium. The many senses of the market take me back if only for a moment.

Biggest challenge I’ve overcome and how I did it: My biggest challenge was getting through college as a single mother. Working full time and taking a full load of evening classes was not easy, but without the support of friends, family and the professors who allowed me to bring my daughter to class on occasion, there was no way I could have made it through.

One thing I’ve always wanted to do but never have: I’ve always wanted to learn how to swim.

If I could change one thing about myself it would be: I’d learn how to swim.

The talent I would most like to have: Sing. I enjoy singing, however I can’t say that my family enjoys it as much as I do.

The one thing I can’t live without: Family.

My favorite movie: Sleepless in Seattle and StepMom.

One of my favorite sayings is: When there is will, there’s a way!

A person who has inspired me (and why): My children inspire me every day. No matter what comes their way good or bad, at the end of the day, they have a smile on their face.
