Coco Chanel, give me a break!
Okay, so I actually watched the "red carpet premier" of the much touted Lifetime movie: "Coco Chanel". And on the supposedly top women's network in America, you won't believe what I saw: Coco got ahead every time by a man rescuing her, especially financially! Her good looks got men to take an initial interest in her, and then to invest in her! I can't believe Shirley McLaine agreed to play this part. Plus, there was smoking smoking smoking constantly throughout the film! Now I know this was done just to make the movie realistic, but I felt as if I had to get up and open a window in my own home by the third hour of this! Did anyone else see this movie and have the same take that I do, that it is entirely sexist and little more than Cinderella snagging her prince and his kingdom at the ball? Write in here with your opinion! Thanks!
