Time for a date night
My husband and I started to go out alone for a date night on Wednesdays. We have done this for a couple of years and it is something we look forward to. Last night he took me to see Mama Mia. Jerry knew I wanted to see it so he was game. It was a fun movie, we laughed and I sang to ABBA's hits. It is a wonderful movie. It is grounding and relaxing to spend time with your mate with no place you have to be.
Do you take time for a date night? Where do you like to go?

My husband and I used to have date nights every Wednesday night...but stopped about 6 months afer we were married (3 years ago). The pressures of work increased, "extra" money started to decrease...oh there are lots of excuses! Now we sit around and say "remember when we had date nights..." We used to try new restaurants in the city, maybe ordering take out and watching a movie at home. It's easy to stop setting these nights aside. We should make more of an effort to keep this tradition going (or get back on track). Thanks for the reminder!
